Taxiway C Reconstruction and Taxiway C/D Intersection Improvements
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This design-bid-build project is comprised of two sub-projects. Sub-Project 1 will include the construction of a new bypass taxiway on
Taxiway D by Taxiway C. Sub-Project 2 will include the reconstruction of Taxiway C (2,000’ x 50’) as well as the reconfiguration of the
Taxiway intersection with Runway 15-33. Work elements will include pavement demolition, new pavement and lime rock base course, new
signage and lighting, and earthwork.
STATUS OF PROJECT (as of February 2025)
The installation of geofabric and base rock for Phase 1 is complete and asphalt paving is currently underway. The base course of asphalt has
been installed, and the first test strip of surface course installed on February 7, 2025, has passed. The installation of airfield lighting and
signs is also underway. The contractor is expected to begin work in Phase 2 on February 12, 2025.
