PGD Awarded $471K for Design of Runway 4-22

PGD will receive a $471,305 grant from the FAA for the design portion of Runway 4/22’s rehabilitation. This project will rehabilitate 7,193 feet of pavement to maintain Runway 4/22’s structural integrity, as well as lighting and signage to enhance safe airfield operations during low visibility conditions. PGD’s Commitment to Safety is Nonstop Punta Gorda, FL (July 9, 2020) – The Charlotte County Airport Authority (Airport Authority) announced the Punta Gorda Airport (PGD) passenger count for June 2020 totaled 93,767, with 47,846 departing passengers and 45,921 arriving passengers. Henry Street – 600 Series T-Hangars Improvements to the Runway 15 End Safety Area (RSA) are scheduled to begin the week of July 13, 2020 and be completed by September 1, 2020. The work includes the re-alignment of the Henry Street access road to the 600 Series T-Hangars and grading of the RSA.
