Airport Announces New Sales & Marketing Manager
Punta Gorda, FL (May 19, 2025) – The Charlotte County Airport Authority (CCAA) announces that Suzie Smith has joined the Punta Gorda Airport (PGD) as the new Sales & Marketing Manager. In this role, Suzie will oversee all aspects of advertising within the Bailey Terminal and other airport facilities, as well as manage the Authority’s Integrated Airport Advertising Program. Suzie will work under Kaley R. Miller, Chief Marketing Officer.

“I am thrilled to join PGD and look forward to utilizing my experience to assist in the airport’s growth and development,” said Suzie. “I am a 25-year resident of Charlotte County, and through my work with local business owners over the years, I’ve developed a deep understanding of the importance of building strong partnerships. I am excited to bring that perspective to PGD and contribute to the growth of both the airport and the surrounding community.”
Suzie grew up in an aviation family, where some of her fondest childhood memories took place in airplane hangars, learning about the latest developments in commercial airlines. This personal connection to the aviation industry fuels Suzie’s excitement about her new role at PGD and the opportunity to combine her professional skills with her deep-rooted love for aviation. She hopes to continue to share that passion with her husband and two daughters.
Suzie brings a wealth of experience in marketing and advertising, having graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in communication and public relations. Over the last 9 years, Suzie has honed her skills working for local businesses, contributing to their growth through creative advertising and strategic marketing campaigns. This background has equipped her with the expertise to help PGD achieve its long-term objectives.

The Charlotte County Airport Authority (CCAA), governed by five elected commissioners, owns and operates the Punta Gorda Airport (PGD), located at 28000 Airport Road, five minutes off I-75, exits 161 and 164 in between Sarasota and Ft.
