Industrial Park Connector at PGD
Charlotte County Airport Authority is requesting $4.2 million for the Industrial Park Connector at Punta Gorda Airport (PGD). Constructing this critical extension from Challenger Boulevard to Piper Road will provide a direct east–west link from the Enterprise Charlotte Airport Park (ECAP) to PGD, increasing economic activity by reducing total trip length on route by 6-8 minutes. The project will ensure increased accessibility for existing aviation training, materials transport and industrial businesses, and eliminate the current detour through residential neighborhoods. Reduced freight travel time enhances PGD’s ability to attract new business and support 150 new jobs projected over five years.
