Self-Serve Fresh & Frozen Food Vending Options Expanded
Punta Gorda, FL (Feb. 10 2021) – The Snack Shack, a new public, self-serve vending and seating space, has opened just south of the Bailey Terminal at Punta Gorda Airport. The Snack Shack offers fresh and frozen vending options for travelers including ice cream, traditional snacks, cold beverages, hot brewed coffee blends, hot chocolate and tea.
Fresh options like sliced apples, string cheese, lunchables and avocado toast are also available. An onsite microwave is a convenient way to heat up hot pockets, sausage and egg biscuits, cheeseburgers, and chicken sandwiches stocked for purchase.
The Snack Shack is open to the public for scheduled airline arrivals and departures. All of its brand-new vending machines accept credit cards. The Snack Shack is a partnership between the Charlotte County Airport Authority (Airport Authority) and its terminal concessionaire, Faber, Coe & Gregg Inc.
The Airport Authority has renovated the space formerly leased by the SkyView Café with new flooring, ceiling tiles, electrical upgrades, exterior signage and interior paint. The Airport Authority offers outdoor seating in the front and back of the Snack Shack, as well as contemporary seating inside. Customers of visiting food trucks can also utilize the Snack Shack’s available seating, but no other outside food is allowed.
Per Federal Law, customers inside the Snack Shack are required to wear masks when not eating or drinking. Public restrooms are not available inside the Snack Shack, but restrooms are open to the public inside the Bailey Terminal.
Faber also operates The Junction, which is located just past security screening in the departures area of the Bailey Terminal. For traveling passengers, The Junction offers a great variety of fresh-made foods, as well as a full-service bar for enjoyment.
