After the expansion is complete, PGD passengers will have additional food/beverage options, more improved restrooms, a new departures concourse, and additional space for overall public circulation.
This one-story expansion does not include passenger boarding bridges (PBBs), or jetways, due to significant investments required to modify our facilities, purchase and maintain associated equipment. PGD’s gently-sloping ramps are commonly employed at many small airports that have one-story terminals or support low-cost carriers. PGD operates on a conservative budget so we can continue to attract/retain airlines that provide low-cost service options. However, if a new airline requires PBBs for daily service, we stand ready to evaluate its feasibility.
