Limited Edition Mascot Collectible On Sale Now
Curtiss the Hawk, PGD’s new mascot, is now available in a collectible form. The 8.5-inch tall plush toy is a replica of the full-size mascot. Each collectible Curtiss is uniquely numbered and comes with memorable packaging that tells his story.
The Curtiss collectible is now on sale at the PGD Air Center, located at 27450 Challenger Blvd. in Punta Gorda. It is open to the public seven days a week from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Curtiss will also be available at The Junction in the Bailey Terminal before Thanksgiving.
PGD is developing a special promotion, “Explore America with Curtiss,” to encourage collectors to share social media photos with Curtiss on their adventures throughout the United States.
About Curtiss the Hawk
Curtiss the Hawk pays homage to Veterans stationed at the Punta Gorda Army Airfield during WWII. He is named after the Curtiss P-40 Warhawk, the famed aircraft that American pilots trained on before they were sent overseas to fight the war.
