Gulf Coast Car Service Announced as Preferred Partner Punta Gorda, FL (Oct. 1, 2019) – The Charlotte County Airport Authority is pleased to announce Gulf Coast Car Service as the preferred provider of ground transportation at Punta Gorda Airport (PGD) beginning today. Gulf Coast Car Service (Gulf Coast) has a fleet of late-model minivans stationed at PGD that are available by reservation and for walk-up customers. Airport Hurricane Preparations

Punta Gorda Airport’s management and operations teams are working to secure the airport property and make preparations for potential impacts from Hurricane Dorian. Punta Gorda Airport and its runways will remain open as long as conditions are safe.  However, if winds are sustained at ~50 MPH, aircraft operations and tower operations will cease, and we continue to follow recommendations from Charlotte County Emergency Management. This is just a friendly reminder about our animal policy here at PGD. No animals are allowed inside the terminal except service animals or pets travelling by air. Travelling pets must be in their carrier or held. The exceptions to this rule are law enforcement dogs and Therapy K9's of Southwest Florida. We really appreciate your cooperation!
