Each year, PGD selects a college student for our “Airport Operations Intern” program.  This Fall, Warda Yakub is getting full-time experience working at PGD. She's gaining an overview of how the entire airport runs, from working outside on the ramp with aircraft and interacting with passengers at the terminal, to behind-the-scenes activities of our airside operations and office administration teams. The internship program is jointly funded with a grant from the Florida Airports Council (FAC). Recognized by NATA for Helping Reduce the Spread of Infectious Diseases In addition to the Bailey Terminal that is used for commercial passenger traffic, the Airport Authority provides fueling and tie-down service for general aviation aircraft through its Fixed Base Operator (FBO). PGD’s FBO recently earned its “Safety 1st Clean” certification through the National Air Transportation Association (NATA).
